Do you have a track record of leading complex, cross-functional development projects in the semiconductor or electronics industry - and want to drive the products that define the future of sound capture? We're looking for a Project Manager to lead product development at sensiBel from start to finish. This is a key position, instrumental to the successful and timely execution of sensiBel's product development projects and our overall business success. You'll lead interdisciplinary teams across MEMS, ASIC, packaging and optronics development, owning everything from project planning to design validation - and reporting directly to our VP Engineering.

You understand that a successful product launch depends not only on performance, but on reliability, manufacturability, yield and cost - and you make sure all of it gets thoroughly addressed.

Relevant skills and experience

  • 10+ years of experience from the semiconductor, electronics, microtechnology and/or photonics industry, managing complex projects or programs involving cross-functional technical teams

  • Proven ability to lead teams toward a common goal in a technical and dynamic environment

  • Experience with project planning, execution and documentation tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, Slack and the like

  • MSc or PhD, preferably related to semiconductors and/or electronics; complementary education within project management is a merit

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written

Your day at sensiBel

As Project Manager at sensiBel, you lead our largest and most complex type of project: product development. You'll work across every team and function in Engineering and Operations, spanning technical domains from MEMS and ASIC to packaging and optronics.

A typical week might include developing and maintaining project plans, timelines and budgets; tracking milestones and progress against deadlines; driving technical risk down with the project team through dFMEAs, pFMEAs and SWOTs; coordinating the design validation process and leading root-cause analysis; and tailoring your reporting so it's relevant for each of your many stakeholders. In close cooperation with management, you'll also help develop and improve the project models and governance processes we all work within.

Key responsibilities

  • Project planning. Manage product development projects from start to finish, meeting pre-defined expectations on time, cost and quality

  • Project execution. Develop and maintain project plans, timelines and budgets; monitor progress and track milestones to ensure deadlines are met; define, maintain and administer the project budget

  • Risk management. Identify timing and budget risks and implement corrective actions; structure and lead the work to drive technical risks down with the team through dFMEAs, pFMEAs, SWOTs and similar

  • Design validation. Drive and coordinate the design validation process using the competences in the project team; lead and facilitate root-cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and keep priorities and team focus relevant

  • Stakeholder communication. Tailor communication and project reporting to be relevant for each of the project's many stakeholders

  • Project governance. In close cooperation with management, develop, maintain, improve and deploy project models and related governance processes
